tell-us-your-storyIt’s been a busy few months for us at The Dental Nurse Network. We’ve seen a lot of changes and exciting developments, so I thought I’d write to you all to fill you in on what’s been going on.

Live Video Lessons

The most exciting change for us has been the introduction of Live Video Lessons. We’re not settled on the name yet – but we think they’re a fantastic and easy-to-use way for you to learn from an expert tutor in the comfort of your home.

As far as we know we’re the only professional development service offering anything like this for dental nurses, so make the most of them and get involved! Click here for more information.

New faces

We’ve also been pleased to welcome more teaching members of team, and I hope that you enjoy working with them as much as I do! But the search isn’t over, and we’re always looking for more teachers to get involved.

We’re keen to hear from you if you think you could lead a 45-minute lesson on a topic that would be useful to nurses. It doesn’t have to be clinical – though that’s always welcome – but it does have to be interesting, intelligent and well planned.

You can fill out the form here if you’re interested.

More articles – and always for free

We’re putting more articles online everyday on the subjects that matter to you. We’ve produced guides to the GDC and the DCS, and we promise that all our writing will always be available to anyone, free of charge.

We’re always looking for feedback, so let us know if there’s anything else you’d like us to write about.

New courses in new places

We’re already running courses in Manchester, London, Nuneaton and Edinburgh, and we plan to offer even more locations in the near future.

We’re looking forward to meeting our Northern Irish members when we head to Belfast next year, and we’re also looking for teachers to lead courses in Brighton, Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow.

We’re also expanding the range of courses we offer, starting with a brand new implant course run alongside Biomet3i from October. If you’d like to know more you can read about it here.

Refreshing the website

Our website is constantly evolving as we try to give you the best possible experience. Part of that is the rebranding – the observant ones among you will have noticed a few small changes already, and you can expect a few more in the coming weeks.

We’re working to make the site as easy-to-use and bug-free as possible. If you spot anything that’s wrong with it or you can think of a way to make it better, please let us know.

Maramas-blog-profileWe want your feedback

The Dental Nurse Network is nothing without its members, and we want to be able to give you everything you need for your professional development.

Sometimes there will be things that we miss or things that we could do better, and we want you to tell us what we are. We work best when we learn from you, so please get in touch here.

Thanks to all our loyal followers!
