This year Dr Nilesh Parmar launched the much talked about ‘Ice White Christmas Party’ in aid of the charity CRISIS this Christmas. Mr Parmar said, ‘The aim is to bring together colleagues, friends and close associates to raise lots of money for this worthwhile cause at a time of year when the homeless need it most.’ The fundraising event was a great success, raising over £3000 for the chosen charity.

CRISIS is a national charity which is directed at single, homeless people. It provides the necessary support and help needed for struggling homeless individuals with no-where to go, delivering life-changing results. Charities like CRISIS have suffered drops in donations over the last few years due to the economic climate and so fundraising events like this have become more important than ever. Mr Paramar said, ‘’With new figures from CRISIS illustrating that homelessness in England has risen by 23%, it’s important that this escalating problem is highlighted and the charity gets the support it needs to help the homeless, especially in these cold winter months.’

The joyous event took place at the fashionable Holburn House, in London. Astra Tech, Digitmax, Enlighten and Manan Ltd all sponsored the festive affair. Over 300 guests were greeted by a parade of super-cars and a flash champagne reception. A highlight of the evening was the hosted raffle. The prizes in store included: an Iphone5, an exotic holiday getaway, a luxurious spa day, a designer dress, a lavish driving experience day, a highly skilled personal training day, as well as a teeth whitening treatment. Many of the guests went home happy with their luxurious prizes. The proceeds of the raffle all went to CRISIS, together with the total funds collected from online donations (supported by JustGiving) and bar takings. Another crowning part of the evening was the extravagant live entertainment, consisting of live performances, fire-breathing dancers and a presentation of the ‘dental implant’ ice luge. Guests also had the opportunity to try out the specially designed photo booth, providing a souvenir for the magical evening.
