100% PASS – OUR AVERAGE PASS RATE
The NEBDN-accredited certificate in Oral Health Education course is for registered dental nurses who want to become competent and confident oral health educators. This course is an excellent stepping stone for those considering retraining as hygienists. You will be trained to provide appropriate oral health advice to a range of patients, identify barriers to good oral health, and create resources for oral health promotion.
Oral health educators play an important role in both clinical and community settings. In dental practices, they educate patients on maintaining good oral hygiene, correct cleaning techniques, the importance of regular check-ups, and the impact of diet and lifestyle on oral health. Beyond the clinic, they act as community ambassadors, spreading vital oral health messages in schools, nurseries, community centres, and public events. They also create informative materials like posters and articles to enhance public awareness. Direct access enables competent dental nurses to engage directly with patients for preventative education. Complete our free OHE CPD course here.
